For the translation I suggest you use Poedit . Once the program is downloaded,

1. place the file in the directory wordspew language / lang on your computer (eg wordspew-fr_FR.po for French)
2. open it in Poedit,
3. click on the menu on "Catalog" -> "Update from sources"
4. translate expressions that remain to be translated,
5. send me the 2 files (. po and. mo) in archive format. zip or. rar

Wordspew Fixed a bug that I discovered only today ... If you add the widget in your sidebar "Categories" in the form of a combo (a combo) it created an error. Indeed the id of the combo "Categories" in WordPress is "cat" as one of the fields in the shoutbox: $.

Fixed an error that appeared regularly in the "jal_time_since" in common.php "Call to undefined function __ ()" in effect at some point the file with no context, it does not "know" not the function is __ responsible for the translation of terms. To work around this, when there is no context, I return the string without translating it. This applies only to dates (minute, hour, day, month, year) but will not affect the behavior of your shoutbox.

Shoutbox Just two small changes:

Wordspew After long months to update, more or less regularly, the shoutbox, I spent some time to add many features.

Where to begin ...

• The administration interface is now almost entirely in Ajax.
• The shoutbox can be completely empty without causing error
• In the administration, if someone adds a message appears in real time. As online users (if enabled).
• The colors chosen for the look of the shoutbox appear in real time as you change.
• You can easily add any theme to the shoutbox (eg Photoshop, blog posts etc).. To do this, select New Theme in the combo box enter the name of your new theme and a welcome text.
• You can use avatars from Gravatar , choose their sizes and positions
• Old messages are now archived.
• You can send a private message to any user (registered or not) by prefixing your message with @ @ followed by the name of the person you want (ex: @ @ Pierre)
• Now we can choose an easy and accurate (role-based method):

Attention is the file-wordspew fr_FR.mo that we must place on file wordspew, PO file just serves to generate the MO translation file ...
Activate the plugin on the plugin page then go to Theme -> Widgets and drop the shoutbox where you want.
If you make an update, be sure to deactivate / reactivate the plugin.
