tu as un compte d’hébergement chez Free ? Parce que ton problème est un problème de création de fichier de session… Soit ton « prestataire » (un gratuit) ne te permet de créer de fichier de sessions soit tu n’as pas « activer » cette fonctionnalité.
Il faut peut-être que tu crée ton dossier qui va stocker ces fichiers (chez Free il faut que tu créé un dossier que tu nommes sessions à la racine de ton site)…

Je doute que ce soit le bon endroit pour signaler un problème mais je n’ai pas trouvé mieux et je m’en excuses.
Quoiqu’il en soit votre plugin est excellentissime. Je n’arrive cependant pas à le masquer aux gens qui ne sont pas connectés sur le blog, malgré les réglages en admin:
si je met ces réglages:
Qui peut voir la shoutbox:
Choisissez, ici, les utilisateurs qui pourront voir et poster dans votre shoutbox: Subscriber (niveau 0)
Qui peut utiliser la shoutbox: Subscriber (niveau 0)
Tout le monde voit la shoutbox.
Sinon avec le niveau 1, les « subscribers » et les visiteurs non connectés ne la voient pas.
Et évidemment, j’aimerais que tout le monde ne la voit pas, mais que les subscribers et niveaux supérieurs la voient.
Je pense que c’est un problème général, mais je peux me tromper.

Désolé pour le dérangement en fait une modification de la page ou était la shootbox fermait une connexion mysql (mysql_close(dblink)) et fermer la connexion à la shootbox également…

I used Pierre’s plugin a long time, until it began to display « I don’t like SPAM » instead of messages.
The problem was W3-CACHE.
So, without W3-CACHE, it works again perfectly.

Sinon j’ai quand même une autre question, y’a pas moyen dagrandir la shootbox, car là elle est juste etroite dans la sidebar. Mon site web est dans mon pseudo.

Wow, got this working nicely in a page and changed chatForm textarea to be width: 635px; so that’s all cool.
It looks like shoutbox cuts off at a certain amount of characters, can I change that to unlimited?

I did copy&paste this code from your example to my standard page template to create a new template named ‘LiveChat’:
Basically it works but I’d need to customize some details.
I’d like to switch chat messaging scrolling from down2up to up2down and enlarge the input text area (more than the option in admin settings).
More, how to prevent to post the msg where I push ‘enter’ key to give a new line to my msg?

de quel très gros bug parles-tu ? Tu ne donnes aucune indication, ni adresse pour que je puisse y jeter un œil…. Quand au support je le dispense quand je peux et je fais toujours de mon mieux afin de répondre aux requêtes des utilisateurs ; qui sont pourtant souvent des cas très spécifiques.

I have a strange problem regarded the shoutbox I am already logged in and username is displayed as guest_and a number. Please tell me how to solve this. I think shoutbox is the best shout method with actual security involved.

This is to Mandan. There is one reason why I would not use your shout box. The space to type your message is a tiny line. Myself and others find that difficult to use.

but actually i haven’t found a way to stop ALL the spams…
The shoutbox is doing its best, but some of spams find a way to go through.
Perhaps by observing those ones you’ll can add some banned words in your comment moderation list, it propably could help.

I have use your shoutbox when I first set up my blog. But then, there is so much sweet lies (encouragement) appears inside. Where the hell this comments come from? The comments seems so real as though it matches what I wrote. I was excited at first but soon realized that something was not right. The word ‘propecia’ (which I hate it!) convince me that this is a spam. I like your shoutbox (because there were no ads) but I’m using something more convincing (and it’s free) at the moment. Check it out at ersante.com (if you mind publishing my comments). Maybe lot of other ‘hope for free’ users would like to try it before putting on something that have to be paid for. The shoutbox is strong, spam blocked, no ads, customizable and well compatible with any browsers (unlike some which say they are but not). Pierre, if you can come out with something like this, give me a message and I would be glad to try it, test it and reveal the truth opinion about your work (I’m a developer too…)
