MarqueeAlors, plusieurs changement dans cette mouture 2.5
. Amusez-vous bien.
Hello,
when I push the button in the Frontend to hide the marquee, I have no possiblity to see marquee once more. What must I do to see the Marquee in the frontend again.
Hi Pierre,
I’m looking for the translations for this plugin, I couldn’t find them in your website or the wordpress plugin site. Can you provide the link? Thanks. If the translation is not available, can you point me to a translation guide document?
Angela
I installed this plugin and the text appears but it does not scroll.
What can be the problem?
Hi,
Can I disable the « hide » button? So that the marquee is always there. I do not want users to hide it.
Thank you
Hi Jodie B,
when you say : « I would like to to add the scrolling text to a specific page only ».
If you really talk about a « page », why don’t you create a specific template for this page then :
1/ define a particular id in it,
2/ define « On pages » in the select area (« On wich page the message will be shown »),
3/ give the name of your id in the « Where » field (« Where to display the message »).
Not to hard, and can do the trick
no ?
Amicably,
Pierre.
I have installed your plugin and would like to add the scrolling text to a specific page only. Is there a bit of code that I can use to add my scrolling text to one specific page only?
hi, there are some things i can suggest:
1.- add on the FAQ: ensure using the wp_footer
2.- add in the install: ensure using an existing div (in order to insert the scrolling text).
3.- add an option like: « show the hide button »
4.- add an option like: « css style for hide button »
5.- expand the Marquee Content. even more, how about create a list of inputs? then the plugin show input1, then input2…an so on.
6.- add an option: « automatically insert page/post links »
Hi Tracey,
normally, you don’t have to change anything in your templates (if they contains id for sidebar, content etc.) so the only thing you have to correctly fill is the field « Where to show the message ? » in « Appearance » -> « Marquee » (and for sure your message).
If nothing appears, please, verify that your file « footer.php » contains the standard WP call to wp_footer();
Amicably,
Pierre.
hi there, is there a piece of code that i need to embed into the content to get this to work and to enable me to position it in my page, I must be missing what i have to do
Hi Sarath,
when you click on the button « hide the marquee » I write a cookie just for the session. So as long as your browser is opened you will not see the scrolling text. But if you close it and re-open it the the « magic » will operate
.
Amicably,
Pierre.
Hi Peter,
I recently started using your Marquee plugin. It’s a great plugin. On one of my blogs, I pressed the « hide the message » image and now I can’t get it back. How do I get back the message. I tried uninstalling the plugin and re-installing the plugin but still it is not working.
Can you please let me know what to do to get back the message. Here is the URL of the blog http://housesinfairfaxcountyvirginia.com/
Thanks.
Hi Koustubh,
in the admin interface of the marquee plugin you’ll find a field with this label : « Where to display the message » enter the ID of you sidebar in this field.
In general it’s « sidebar » (without the quotes). BTW you specify to the plugin to use the tag with the id « sidebar » to show the marquee.
PS. It’s always better to give me an url if you have a problem because i can have a look and help more effectively.
Amicably,
Pierre.
Hi,
Can you please let me know how to add u your plugin’s function on sodebar of wordpress.
can i define it to display only in the admin interface ?
Hi coddie,
to do simply, you could replace the image « exit.png » by one with the same name but transparent
But, personnaly, i think you should let the users choose if they really want to see continuously or not your message…
Amicably,
Pierre.
Hi Pierre,
How can I remove the « hide Marquee » button please?
Yes Puh, i know that
, i’ve made a lot of tries without any success.
There were scrolling problems in its actual state…
@Pierre
For endless Scrolling the Text have to be splitted into two Divs
Example: http://jscroller2.markusbordihn.de/example/endless/
Hi Puh,
i tried but without any success actually,
.
Amicably,
Pierre.
Thank you for this great Plugin but I’m missing an endless scroll option. Could you please add an endless scroller? Thank you
