thumbs up! I have a little problem since I upgraded to the last version though, just as described in these comments, some users are said they are banned and can’t use it. I didn’t ban anyone or ANY ip so I really can’t see why.. Any advice please?

I’ve translated version 2.95 to simplified chinese (zh_CN), if you’d like the PO and MO files please email me so I can email them to you.
A note on my translation: I’ve decided to translate « shoutbox » to « chatting box », and all parts referring to « messages » or « comments » into « chats ». It makes less grammatical sense, but keeps everything the same. I did think about leaving the « shoutbox » part literal, if you think that’s a better idea then I can retranslate it for you. I can also change the « chats » things into something more generic, like « comments » or « messages », although my concern was that this may be confused with, say, the « comments » made on a post.
On another note, I’ve made a few tweaks and this plugin works under MU! If you like I could tell you the changes I’ve made, it’s really very simple.

After having problems with the first Wordspew and then changing to Smiletag and having nothing but trouble…I came to your version of Wordspew and am loving it….
ONE PROBLEM…and it’s a validation problem….Not sure how to help others…but I got the help I needed to fix the problem and have fixed the wordspew.php file itself….if you’d like to contact me if you run into the problem…I can send it to you.

I figured out that if I didn’t try to leave my url that it would work. I want people to be able to leave me links though. I also want the chat to work for people with no java script. I have found that some people don’t have it and that may block people and some plugins block people too. I am worried about accidently stopping people from chatting and leaving their links so I can visit their sites. One of the points of chatting is to be able to talk back and forth and it is much easier on a chat board and without a url how can the find the person who left the message? Will your plugin block urls? Will it work without javascript? How does it work? Can you explain it to me? That would be helpful.

two things. Firstly, i try to use the shoutbox by harcoding your own IP (i get it by mail) without any problem. So that error is really strange for me. The only (for the moment) range of IP addresses, i ban is from 195.225.176.0 to 195.225.179.255. It’s a range from a well known spammer (Vsevolod Stetsinsky). Your was 12.*.*.* so… Secondly, i’m totally agree with you ("This is the danger of I.P. blocking. That you will catch innocent people.") it’s for what the ban of IP addresses is optionnal. In France we say something like "who can the more can the less"

But in the german translation you have made a few mistakes regarding plural forms (in german, the plural of e.g. « hour » is not « Stundes », but « Stunden ». I only realized how un-logical plural forms in german are when i corrected that
